BMI calculator with Asian cut-offs
Work out your body mass index and healthy weight range, with the WHO Asia-Pacific cut-offs that suit Indians.
How it works
BMI is weight in kg divided by height in metres squared.
For South Asians, health risks rise at a lower BMI, so the Asia-Pacific bands call 23-24.9 overweight and 25 or more obese.
BMI cannot tell muscle from fat, so a lean lifter can read as overweight. Pair it with your waist: keep it under half your height.
